Objective

WMATA needed comprehensive IT support to enhance operational systems, improve navigation tools, and modernize infrastructure. Challenges included maintaining accurate GIS mapping, upgrading outdated platforms, and ensuring smooth migrations while supporting critical transportation operations for the Washington Metropolitan region.

Solution

SIG delivered GIS mapping, mobile system validation, UI/UX, and enterprise software deployment across 10,000+ endpoints. The team led infrastructure upgrades, managed messaging via Exchange and AD, supported disaster recovery, and provided 24/7 Tier II/III support. SIG also oversaw SAN storage, asset tracking, SCCM administration, and ServiceNow-integrated mobile device management.
